4D3N Singapore Trip

BACKDATED POST 09/10/09

The main purpose for the Singapore Trip is to attend our brother, Ben's BIG DAY where to be held on 10/10/09. What a unique date and it is easy to remember!

We started our journey from Ipoh around 10am. Of course, we stop over several 'R n R' along PLUS highway for some food and rest. Our fine sunny weather with clear blue skies in the afternoon ended up with very dark ominous clouds while passing by Tuas Second Link Highway. With the help of the GPRS, we are managed to find the way to our destination - National Service Resort and Country Club. NSRCC, Fully air-conditioned 2-storey bungalows with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, a pantry, as well as spacious living and dining areas, LCD flat sreen TV & a BBQ pit!. The facilities include: 24-lane championship bowling alley, Fitness Centre, Swimming Pools, Tennis and Squash Courts, Fruit Machine Room, Billiards Room, Video Games Room, Social Room, Children's Playroom, Function Room, Chinese Restaurant, Golfers' Terrace, Food Court, Music cum Karaoke Lounge, Golf & Bowling Pro-shops.

Brother has booked 2 units of bungalows (no. 19 and 20) for 2 nights stay. We arrived NSRCC in Singapore pretty late about 830pm. After settle down luggages and lazing around a bit in the bungalow then we enjoyed our BBQ for dinner.
The Bungalow outlook. The environment there is really nice and spacious.

Today is Ben and Jasmine's Wedding Day!
The wedding ceremony started at 3pm. The groom has 'rescued' the bride from bride maids (chee-mui) who locked the grilles. Glad Ben got through the obstacles without any difficulties. Once the groom has brought the bride back to his place then the next section is Tea Ceremony.

The wedding ceremony was simple and fabulous. All guests were then served with buffet style dinner. After all the programs have been done then we straight to enjoy the facilities in the club. So we decided to bring Eugene to have a swimming pool fun! Since this 1st time Eugene plays in swimming pool so we were more excited then him and we can't wait to change Eugene in swim suit and well prepared the swim ring for him. Lets GO!

Eugene is enjoying his 1st experience in swimming pool fun.

Today is our 3rd day in Singapore. We have extended one night stayed at 'The Far East Elizabeth Hotel' where just next to the Orchard Road. Our today plan in the itinerary was paid a visit to 'Ming Gu' then visited to Singapore Zoo.

Left Pic: In the hotel room - being a little tired, we took our sweet time to wake up. Yes, we are ready to go now!
Right Pic: We paid a visit to 'Ming Gu' and we have lunch together.

Yeah! Finally we had the opportunity to visit Singapore Zoo on this trip. The zoo is an open concept, no bars zoo where animals are kept in spacious landscaped enclosures, separated from visitors by dry or wet moats which are well concealed from visitors.

From the entrance of the zoo, you’ll be surprised at how cool and lovely the place is. Everywhere is pleasantly shady with big rain trees and the paths provide an easy walkway, even for the handicapped.

Left Pic: Roar....We are at the white tiger zone area. Right Pic: Lots of Kangaroo bouncing around the outback.

here you go, some of the animals we met.

After walking for few hours, our legs got tired. Eugene was the best as we brought along the stroller for him. But sometime he wanted us to carry him and don’t want to sit in the stroller. Eugene got to see many animals likes giraffe, lion, tiger, polar bear, monkey, etc. We were exhausted and we have not even cover 3/4 of the zoo yet. The weather was hot around 3pm so we took the opportunity to have a rest at the elephant's area watch the elephant show. We took the tram on seeing the zoo in a jiffy.

We managed to finish walking through the whole zoo by 5pm. We started at 1pm! That’s over four hours of walking. After that, we did some shopping at the souvenir shop.

A Happy Family Photo before leaving Singapore Zoo.
It was definitely an enjoyable visit and wonderful time for all of us.

Eugene was enjoyed a hot bathtub in the hotel room.

Before headed back to Malaysia, there is a the most popular tourist spots we must go is Merlion Park. The Merlion was initially designed as a symbol for the Singapore Tourism Board in the year 1964. The unique structure of the Merlion with the lion head and the body of a fish resting on a rest of waves soon became Singapore's icon for the world.

The Merlion Statue measuring 8.6 metres in height and weighing around 70 tonnes.

Beautiful views of Singapore’s colonial district when strolling in Merlion Park. Our last photo shot - Bye Bye Singapore! We are prepared to go to our next destination - Genting Highland.
