2D1N Genting Highland Trip

BACKDATED POST 12/10/09

We arrived Genting Highland around 430pm after the 4 hours long drive from Singapore. Of course, we have make an advance reservation for one night stay at First World Hotel, Deluxe view room package where included buffet breakfast, meal vouchers, return Genting Skyway ride, Pre-approved Genting World Card free membership and 25% discount on Outdoor Theme Park rides.

Although the day was on Monday but Genting was packed to the max, we have waited for about 45mins to our check-in queue number.

We straight went for our buffet dinner at First World Café, Happy Valley Restaurant after we checked in to our room. We explored to First World Plaza Indoor Theme Park after the dinner. There is a big indoor theme park which includes many games and rides, plus shopping, food etc. This is a very colorful and lively place which you will not miss when you are at Genting Highlands.

I am enjoying my buffet breakfast at Resort Cafe, Restaurant Kampung.

Today temperature was just excellent for us. Immediately after breakfast we went to the Genting Indoor Theme Park. This is the first (old) Indoor Theme Park in the highland. Most suitable for young children. For younger children this is a fantasy land full of fun and adventure.

Eugene enjoyed the super-exciting video arcade game and motorcycle ride.

boobooboo...I am driving to 'Kai Kai' loh.

Left Pic: Donkey Ride with Daddy. Right Pic: A rich variety of skill games and video games.

We visited Chin Swee Caves temple when we were on our way down to Batang Kali and way back to Ipoh. Chin Swee Caves Temple is about 5 to 10 minutes drive down from First World Hotel and is situated on a rocky forested land. The land was donated by the late Tan Sri DatoSeri Lim Goh Tong who is a devotee of the Reverend Chin Swee.

There is a nine-storey Pagoda which was decorated with many figurines of the Buddha and inside the Pagoda are thousand of ‘blessing lamps’.

There are some carvings on the stone wall near to the Buddha statues as well. Eugene and the statues.

Took the opportunity to take a photo of 'Fook Lou Shou' and "Pa Shien'.
