2D1N Malacca Trip

POST DATED 28/11/09 , Saturday

Everyone was exhausted after the gateway in A'Famosa - the Animal World Safari. Our next destination was Malacca... a famous town where the both Portuguese and British once rule. We left about 4pm from A'Famosa. It's a 45 mins drive from Alor Gajah and reached Malacca about 5pm. We dropped by the 'Tan Kim Hock', famous with their durian dodol. We spent few hundred in the store for the souvenir.
With the help of GPS, we are managed to find our way to 'Garden City service apartment'. After settle down and took a rest in the apartment, we went for Nyonya Food for our dinner.

POST DATED 29/11/09 , Sunday

The next day morning we went to the Jonker Street. The Jonker Street is not only known for its cultural attractions and unique building architectures, but delicious foods and local delicacies as well. Being day or night, Jonker Street or Jonker Walk, the street is full of a number of shops and cafes selling a wide variety of foods and beverages.

We visited the 'Baba Nyonya House Museum'

One of Malacca’s signature food is Chicken Rice Balls, which is nothing but Hainan Chicken Rice served using rice shaped like a ping pong sized ball. And a trip to Malacca wouldn’t be complete without having Chicken Rice Balls. The first thing we had as soon as we arrived in Malacca was Koo Cheng's chicken rice balls for lunch, at 12.30pm!

Malacca Transportation Museum

This is Christ Church, constructed in 1753 from pink bricks brought from Holland. Started off as a Dutch Reformed Church, but the Brits came through and converted it to an Anglican Church and added a bell tower.

Had some photos with the Clock Tower.
yeah, yeah, yeah....

Crossed the bridge to reach Stadhuys and spotted this small wind mill surrounded by colorful flowers.
The weather was really hot and everyone was thirsty after the walk. We went to 'Sam Shu Gong's store that serves Durian Cendol, probably the best along the street.
We stroll through the street with eagle eyes to hunt and bargain for unique souvenirs since that we still have sufficient time.
After we walked along the street back and forth at least 2 times, we bade farewell to Malacca. We left Malacca about 4pm. It was a terrible jam at the Seremban Highway, we reached home about 10pm.

MOON and STAR

Sometimes, I like to spend time with my little boy in drawing. Okay, When I draw a crescent shape on the drawing board. Eugene will shout out loud: "moon, moon....” Good boy!
When I draw a star shape on the drawing board. Eugene will speak loudly: 'star, star...". Well done!
Eugene not only can understand to recognise the shape of Moon and Star. He also can understand that Moon and Star are in the sky. When you asked him: Where is moon/ where is star? He will point up to show you Moon and Star are in the sky. Clever, my sweetie Gene!

Dog Lover - ouw, ouw, ouw

Kevin is a dog lover and Eugene is also a dog lover nevertheless. We have two dogs in our house - a Pinscher male dog called Frankie and a Rottweiler female dag called Candy. The dogs are doing well with our son.

Every morning, Eugene will spend his time to tackle the dog by saying ouw, ouw, ouw. Sometime, he instructed the dog to sit! However, we are not allowed Eugene to touch the dog and always keep them in a distance.

GoodBye KISS

You will receive a GoodBye Kiss from Eugene when there is a time to say bye bye. Muak....lovely

Sayang - yang, yang

If you ask Eugene to 'sayang or yang yang', he will place his face gently beside your face together with a smilling face. ;0)
A powerful of "Sayang" from Eugene :-

It can give us such joy; :0)
It can bring us a little smile; :-)
It can say a thousand words; :p
It can out things right again; -_-
It is a lovely 'Sayang'! ^_^

We wish to have a 'Sayang' from you everyday along with some kisses if you could! Thank You my little Gene :0)

SHARING skills

Eugene is acting a bit selfish on his age. He can't stand to let other kids play with his things. How can I teach him to share?

We always take every opportunity to show him how to share. We offer him a bite of our meal and use the word 'share' to describe our behavior. *** Eugene, I'm eating an apple and I'd love to share it with you. Would you like some? *** In the other way, we will request him to share his food with us. When he attempts to share, we will praise his efforts with a BIG THANK YOU!

Little by little, he is now become naturally start sharing his food with us. We are happy to see him to have good behavior!

P/S: Eugene only shares his things/toys among our family members. For other peoples, he will share his things to you if you have a good luck of the day. hehehe....

Bubble, Bubble, Bubbles...

Eugene likes to watch his favorite baby enstein's movies. He is learning from the movie. Sometimes we will try our best to show him the 'real object' which shown on movie. ie. apple, orange, car, key.....& bubbles. Daddy bought the soap bubble for Eugene. My little one loves bubbles. Since that Eugene always ask daddy blow him some bubbles. 'bubble, bubble, bubble....'

I discovered that it is a fun activity for outside play. It really makes him laugh!

How am I sit?

I don’t care what other people say me; I just want to sit whatever position that I feel comfortable!

Mummy said lucky Eugene is a BOY.
