Saturday Schedule

6am ~ Wake up ***Ko Ko kuku....

7am ~ Play at my own Territory ***Mummy was the one taking care of me in the morning.

8am ~ Morning nap ***Charging....

9am ~ We have visitors - 婆太 and 公公。 ***They played with me and I was happy seeing them. I still do not know how to call them yet, so I only smiled at them. :0)

10am ~ Bath Time ***I love bath bath.香香and舒服晒！。。。

11am ~ Play time ***Happy Fun time.....played with 嬷嬷

12pm ~ Lunch time ***Yummy...Mummy enjoyed feeding me.

1pm ~ Noon nap ***Charging again...

2pm ~ Play time/ Go shopping ***Spent my time with Daddy and Mummy

3pm ~ We have visitors - 婆婆, 姨姨 or 舅舅。 ***I am enjoyed playing with them...

5pm ~ Dinner time ***Yummy...

6pm ~ Bath Time ***Yeah....爽晒咯！。。。

7pm ~ Good Night *** ZZzzz......till next morning

This Saturday has passed. Mummy needs to wait another 5 working days to next Saturday to see me again.......

My 公公 and Me

Cough, cough, cough.....

Eugene flu was getting better but he developed a cough now. I believe that Eugene cough persisted from the flu....He coughed so hard till he was so frustrated with his cough. "Oh, Bao Bei Gene, never mind you will recover very soon......"
Until today he still refuses to drink his milk. My little one is looking pale now because he is suffering from lack of appetite.

We have been given him the medication continuous about 5 days but it did not seem getting better and Gene was started sweating really bad over his body after taking the medications. It was the side effects of the medicine. So we have stopped to give him the medicines again.

We have no other choices and my mother told me we can try out the Chinese’s medicine. We gave him the "保婴丹", "惊风散"and"冬虫草散"。After taking these Chinese's medicine, his cough seem lesser and improving. Yeah....Gene, Mummy will do whatever for you as long as you can recover very sooooooon.

Hopefully his immune system is strong enough to fight with the bad bad virus.

Eugene got Flu!

My precious baby is sick for the FIRST time..sob..sob.. He developed a cold since a week ago. At the beginning stage, we tried to avoid letting him take the medicine and wish he can recover by himself.

However, he seem like turned into a bad condition. So Kevin decided to send him to ISH to see Dr. Adeline Tan today. Check..Check... no congestion in his lungs, no red in his throat, no cough, no rashes but he got running/ blocked nose so Doctor helped to suck the mucus by using a nasal douche. Of course, Gene was cried out loudly....Doctor gave some medicines for him and advise us to came back again by tomorrow.

He did not sleep well at night, probably due to the blocked nose. He slept for few hour and get up for milk, he started coughing and he was choked and vomited everything he had drank...Oh..my pity Gene!!! Because of the choked he refused to drink milk now.

Until the next morning, he did not seem to get better. After medicine, we brought him to see Dr. Adeline again and She checked over his throat and temperature 36.5 were ok and did the nasal douche again....his mucus is lesser compare yesterday and Dr advised us continue to give him the medicine accordingly.
During the day, he has no appetite for milk, porridge or brown rice cereal. Due to the medicine effect, his nap time was longer than normal day and he was cranky the whole day. He clinged to me and make some noise, don't really know what he wants...He started the serious coughing in the afternoon. "Gene, Mummy knows you are feeling uncomfortable now, Mummy sayang sayang Gene. You will recover very soon." So we gave him the cough medicine but it did not seem to subside after that. It goes on and on like this the whole day.

We did not bath him for these 2 days and we just used the wet tower to wipe up his body to prevent him to get in a serious cold again. At night, I seem to have problem adjusting the room temperature for him. Normally we put 23 for the air-cond (Eugene sweats a lot and he will wake up very frequent if he is hot). Since he is having cold, I adjusted the air-cond temp up to 26...he sweated till the bed was wet. Then, I switch on the fan with the 2nd speed for him, (Of course the wind wasn't blowing directly to him) he still sweated. His hands were cold, but his head and legs (I cover him with nappy - blanket too hot for him) were so hot.
Worse part is he refused to have milk, porridge or any solid food. Before the food reaches him, he turn his head to other side refuse to have it. Baby..baby... u need food to fill up your stomach before you take the medicine...Baby..baby...please recover soon as daddy and mommy are so worried for you....

Lets count from the top 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10....Total how many pillows and bolsters?

Recently, Gene got a bad habit likes to bite the corner of his pillows....bite ar.... bite ar.... till the pillow became wet wet and smelly. Iaauk...!

Gene, Is the pillow taste good?

Before Gene fall in sleep, he is enjoying to use his finger tips to touch the pillow corner. Only the pillow corner ler....

I told Kevin that Gene got the same habit as his 舅舅 like to bite the pillows and also same habit as his 姨姨 like to use their finger tips to touch the pillow corner in order to fall in sleep. Kevin said "What a weirdo habit!!! " -_-

However, we used to change all the pillow and bolster cover cases every 2 weeks once. :o)

While we are in the living room, Mummy asked Gene :

"Gene, Show Mami where is "Gong Xi, Gong Xi?" (Gene's head is pointing up to the ceiling where we hang a Chinese Festival Couplets)

Oh my clever Gene boy, they are your 小朋友。 ***Usually mummy will let him touch the couplets for Fun. But Gene Gene try to use his hand to tear it instead of touch it. -_-***

Ya ya, this is green green grass loh. ***Mummy will let him step on the grass and make his toes 'gerli gerli'....hahaha***

While we are in the sleeping room, Mummy asked Gene:
"Gene, Show Mieee where is Octopus, seahorse or fish?" (Gene's head is pointing to the musical mobile where hanging with a fish, a seahorse and a octopus)
Good boy, Mummy let you catch the octopus....seahorse then the fish. ***Mummy has lots of Fun with Gene***

See, Our Gene is smart enough. He can understand and able to show us what we ask for it although he cannot talk now.

Nicknames

Most parents have sweet nicknames for thier kiddo. Prince, Pricess, cutie....etc.
We are no different. We have given our little kiddo few nicknames and we would call him in a sing song tone.

My name is Beh Eugene , 马裕晋

1) "Puji Puji Gene" = Daddy given

Who is 'Puji Puji Gene"? I asked Daddy why call him "Puji Gene"? I guess Daddy probably think that this name is sweet and simply give him this name. And "Puji" is a Malay word means Praise. Hmn....Daddy give a great nickname for his son.

2) "Bao Bei Gene" = Daddy given

3) "Gene Gene Boy" = 嬷嬷 given

4) " Eugene Boy" = 嬷嬷 given

Sometimes, 嬷嬷 call him 裕晋。

5) "Geney" = Daddy given

Time flies as always and our little boy is now 8 months old today.

Updates on Eugene:-

• Weight is 7.8 kg.
• More sociable and definitely more talkative.
• Still 2 meals a day with porridge and Baby Bites biscuit for snacks after the 2nd meal.
• Food he has eaten: Apple, banana, grapes, tomato, broccoli, sweet potato, carrot, spinach.
• Milk feed: Morning 8am 5oz milk, Night 11pm 5oz milk and Midnight 4am 5oz milk.
• He is able to hold his feeding bottle by himself. He prefers to use his one hand to hold the bottle holder and the other hand to hug his 'Bao Bao". -_-
• He is no longer a combat crawler. He crawls on all fours.
• He doesn't want to sleep in his cot alone. He prefers to sleep in between Daddy and Mummy.
• He likes to SCREAM for attention/ if you did the things he doesn't like to, without tears of course. Sometimes really drives mummy up to the wall.
• He knows to put his hand on and touch your face softly if you ask him to 'Sayang, sayang you".
• He uses his finger nails to scratch your face hardly if he is angry with you. -_-
• He knows to wave bye bye when you ask for it.
• He can understand few words like "Cannot", "No", "Wait","Sherk sherk = Sayang" and "Shen Qi = Angry".
• He loves to play game with us like peek-a-boo, put him on the air, chasing him and ets, he will laugh loudly.

Before I was a Mom

I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed.

Before I was a Mom
I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom

I had never been puked on - Pooped on - Spit on - Chewed on, or Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and My thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests...or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom

I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom

I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important.

Before I was a Mom

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known The warmth, The joy, The love, The heartache, The wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

Eugene can finally wave bye-bye to us. Now, sometimes when he hears the word bye-bye, he will wave his arms up & down. He does not do it 100% of the time. But most of the time now. Gene, you are so smart ler....

Sit Momentarily

Eugene is concentrated to play his toys.

Gene will turn to 8 months by next week. We were so worried that he still unable to sit on his own. When we sit him on the floor, he is still tumble forward or wobble sideways. Today, we were as usual to bring Gene back home from Auntie Jennifer house. And he used to go to bed about 7pm but today is a little bit special, the time is almost 730pm but he still looks full of energetic. So we just let him play at his own territory. Eh....we observed that Gene is able to sit momentarily without assistance. We placed some interesting toys within his reach to encourage him to lean out and develop his balance. However, we still need to stay nearby to provide support and surround him with pillows to cushion a possible fall. Yeah...Gene. We know you can do it!!

My 1st Crawl

Eugene attempted his first crawl last week. He only knows how to move his chubby legs but not his arms so he ends up with his backside in the air. Gene...Mummy knows you can do it. Kanbadei!!!

• ~ 天还没亮正在熟睡的我们，传来 一把声音"唧唧咋咋"不停的叫， 最终把你吵醒。看看时钟，早晨6 点。哦。。。我还很爱睡呢！ 但嬷嬷说" 早起的鸟儿有虫吃。" -_-

• ~很不甘心的起床还要陪他玩。噢。。。Gene 最喜爱的冲凉时间到了。Yeah。。。舒服， 舒服咯！然后继续陪他玩。玩呀！玩呀！哦。。。怎麽呱呱叫的？他用手擦擦眼睛。看看时钟，早上8点。他的早餐时间到了， 喝了5oz 牛奶后就小睡。Zzzz....

• ~ 静静的早晨， 这段时间也就是你的自由活动时间 ， 你必需把你所要做的一切尽快做完。。。传来了婴孩的哭啼声。。。看看时钟，早上10点。他睡醒了并要你陪他玩。

• ~宝贝Gene, 你睡醒了啊！妈咪陪你玩咯。 Gene 笑咯咯的笑声， 实在甜在心窝里。哦。。。怎麽呱呱叫的？看看时钟，中午12 点。他的午餐时间到了，要吃粥粥。

• ~ 吃完粥粥， 你必需陪他玩不可以离开他的视线。玩呀！玩呀！哦。。。他用手擦擦眼睛了。看看时钟，下午2 点。他的午觉时间到了，他要睡午觉了。 Zzzz....

• ~噢。。。开心咯， 又到了自由活动时间。。。时间嘀嗒，嘀嗒的过了。。。传来了婴孩的哭啼声。。。看看时钟，下午3 点。他睡醒了要你陪他玩。

• ~Gene一张开眼睛就对你笑， 哈哈哈。。。好灿烂的笑容，好温馨！不知不觉，时钟珰铛铛铛铛铛的响。。。看看时钟，傍晚5 点。他的晚餐时间到了，要吃粥粥。

• ~吃完粥粥， 休息一下， 冲一个舒服凉， 换上睡衣。然后你必需抱他到庭院散步。一边走呀！一边聊天。。。哦！张开大口打哈圈了。看看时钟，傍晚7 点。他要上床睡觉了。 晚安，宝贝Gene.

• ~Gene 沉睡在美梦中，如发觉他不停的翻身-翻左， 翻右。看看时钟，夜晚11点。他的宵夜时间到了， 喝了5oz 牛奶然后继续睡。

• ~ Gene 继续他的美梦， 如发觉他会不停的翻身-翻左， 翻右并呱呱叫。看看时钟，临晨4点。他的喝奶时间到了， 喝了5oz 牛奶然后继续睡至到早晨6点。

Gene 以安排好我们每一天所要做的一切所以每一天的时间过的真快。Gene, 你好准时哦！妈咪好佩服你哦！

Great Grand-Ma Visit

Gene's Great Grand-ma (my Grandma) has paid a visit to our house last Saturday. Gene was extremely talkative there....."EEeee//...Aaaarr//...Dadada//" and sayang sayang Great Grandma. All the things he did made Great Grand-ma had a good laugh.

Eugene有一位伟大的嬷嬷。这首歌儿“小宝宝，快睡了，我的宝宝要睡了。。。”是嬷嬷用来哄Gene Gene睡觉的。由Gene 出世至今，也数不了嬷嬷已哼了这首歌几百遍。

Day Trip to Cameron Highland

We made a day trip to Cameron Highlands during the Labour Day holidays since it has been quite some time when we made our last visit there. This time we have a little kid joined us - He is Beh Eugene.! Yeah...

Diving all the way up was breezy and we were surprised as the traffic wasn't that bad.

We made our first stop at a mamak store just for a quick break - we had 'Roti canai with bananas' and teh tarik. After the break, we were straight toward to "万佛寺" for a pray. We visited around the temple and there is a fish pond where full of Japan's Carp fish. Kevin carried Gene near to the pond showed him the colourful of the fishes. However, Gene attempted to put his hand to touch the fishes. Aisk.... Gene is enjoying his "Fish Hand Spa".

Thereafter, we stopped by "Cactus Valley" about 12pm and we paid entrance fees RM4 per adult. Ohh.....is Gene's noon nap time! We guess Gene was really tired as he felt in sleep easily without his 'Bao Bao' and 'Jui Jui" ler.....

Our next destination is to a strawberry store - the store has grown and it's now a cafe cum shop cum farm. Luckily the weather has been very kind to us - crisp and cool.

We ended our short trip by visiting "Strawberry Farm" - bought and tasted the strawberries then to "Watercress Farm" - have cup of watercress drinks before heading home. It was an enjoyable trip albeit a short one.
