Cardboard Test

This cardboard was belonging to Rachel Tang Jie Jie. And this cardboard now has handover to Eugene. We educate Eugene the Alphabet chart with one word per letter.
Yeah...Let Eugene to present his knowledge to everyone. However, he has not patient to stay long with us to complete the cardboard test!

Leadership Skills

Eugene always instructed us to do things on his own way. Daddy praise Eugene is 'born Leaders'. I firmly believed that nowadays most children are born with leadership skills, and what you actually affect through teaching, is what they will grow to be.

Every morning once Eugene woke up, he will request us to bring him out of bedroom. Eugene:'Outside, outside...open open' (asking to open the door to let him go out) :0)
After we brought him out of our bedroom, he will ask us to bring him to praying room by saying '请请....请请'. Then he will request us to bring him to the downstairs. Eugene:'下楼...下楼...‘
While we are at the living room, Eugene will request to switch on his video by saying 'open, open...'
We would like to help Eugene to develop his Leadership skills. Communicate effectively is one of the key leadership traits. "Good leaders are good communicators". So we always teach Eugene to say what he mean or communicate clearly before we fulfill his request.

We encourage Eugene to read books then by asking question and expecting answers from him. Sometime, we giving him responsibilities and motivate him that he can handle. ie. ask him to get his own shoes if he want to go out for walk walk. Certainly, we also encourage him to be more independence but we will also assist him if he needs help.

Eugene is improving his leadership skill by interacting with us;
- He will instruct us to dance together with him when his favorite music is playing.
- He will lead us to the way where he wanted to go.
- He will request us to follow his step to get the job done.

Satu, Dua, Tiga...

My son learns to speak Malay from our Indon's maid. He knows the counting from one to ten - "Satu, Dua, Tiga, Empat, Lime, Enam, Tujuh, Lapan, Sembilan & Sepuluh"!
When you said "Satu", Eugene will continue the counting "Dua, Tiga, Empat"......

Yeah....My Gene is smart!

I dont know ar!

An funniest and unexpected answer from Eugene: -
Grandma: Gene boy, do you know who is a naughty boy?
Eugene: I don’t know ar!
Mummy: Eugene, do you know how to sing?
Eugene: I don’t know ar!
Daddy: Puji Gene, do you know Eugene is a naughty boy?
Eugene: I don’t know ar!

"I don’t know....I don’t know....I don’t know ar!" LOL!

We are all surprise and we don't expect that Eugene answered us 'I don’t know'. We really do not know where he learns to say these words from. The way he pronouns the sentense 'I don’t know ar' is really cute through! >_<

2D1N CNY Shopping Trip

Chinese New Year is around the corner. We went to KL, Mid-Valley and IKANO to do our CNY shopping this year. We booked a Deluxe room for a night stay at 'The Garden Hotel'. Woohoo...most of mall dressed up to welcome the year of the Tiger. I love the Chinese New year's atmosphere with red lanterns, red spring scrolls, red drapes, assorted red ornaments and Chinese New year's songs can be heard every Shopping Mall.
Pic 1: Relaxing in the hotel. Pic 2: A swimming pool view from our 16th floor room.

Pic 1: The room features lush spaces and sumptuous décor in muted tones of brown and beige. Pic 2: Make a phone call for room service dinner.

The classy bathroom is compartmentalised into a toilet cubicle, a bath and shower cubicle and an open sink/powder area.

We had dinner at the Food Junction which located in Mid Valley just beside our hotel. After dinner, we did our shopping in Mid Valley. The place that we never missed out - 'Toys R Us' again for sure! Toys R us is Eugene favorite place. We bought a V-Tech baby walker for Chi Yen's daughter since we had planned to visit her tomorrow.

Eugene loves the 'umbrella doll stroller' very much. He puts a teddy bear on toy stroller and pushing it around. Does Eugene look 'Girlie' with the pink colour stroller? Hehehe...

I have made a phone reservation 2 days in advance for AVATAR midnight show, 1245am at GSC Mid Valley. We went to collect our ticket while Eugene enjoys his time at Toys R Us. We back to our hotel around 10pm and took a rest while waiting for our midnight show. Mother in law helps to take care of Eugene at night.
After 2 1/2 hours in the theater, Avatar was so remarkable that it was well-worth of watching it. It is almost 4am by the time we finished our movie.

The next day morning, Eugene has given everyone a Morning call at 730am early. :0( Alamak...we just got 3 hours slept and really not willing to wake up! We have no choice as Eugene is keep asking us to go 'outside' >_<

We straight drive to IKANO after checked out our room at 11am. Eugene was fall in sleep in the car while we are on the way to IKANO. Cheh....Eugene, why don’t you sleep late in the morning? We had Thai Food for our lunch. We did our shopping in IKEA and we have bought 2 cabinets and some house accessories. We finished our shopping around 5pm.

Eugene is helping us to choose the furniture in IKEA

We also went to visit our 4th Uncle before heading back to Ipoh. Can u see.....a very cutie baby girl? She is Chi Yen's daughter. She got BIG eyes, a very talkative girl....showing her smiling face all the time!

STOP & GO GO GO

We taught Eugene to recognize the colors of traffic lights. During the driving when the red light is held up, we teach him to request the driver to STOP! When the green light is held up, we ask the driver to GO! When the yellow light is held up, we request the drive to SLOW!

Some Song rhymes for Eugene:-
See the traffic light hanging in the air
When the light's a red light
You should wait right there.
See the traffic light hanging in the air
When the light's a green light
You should go from there.

Eugene now able to recognized the red and green colors of traffic lights. He will shout out loud 'STOP, STOP, STOP' when the light's is red and 'GO, GO, GO!' when the light's is green. Smart Boy!

Red says, "Stop"
Green says, "Go"
Yellow says, "S-L-O-W",
When crossing the street
These are the colors you need to know.
