Christmas Tree & I

Mummy just want to dedicate the "First of May by bee gee" to Eugene.

When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall,
we used to love while others used to play.
Don't ask me why, but
time has passed us by,
some one else moved in from far away.
(Chorus)

Now we are tall,
and Christmas trees was small,
and you don't ask the time of day.
But you and I,
our love will never die,
but guess we'll cry come first of May.

The apple tree that grew for you and me,
I watched the apples falling one by one.
And I recall the moment of them all,
the day I kissed your cheek and you were gone.
(Chorus...)

When I was small,
and Christmas trees were tall,do do do do do do do do do...
Don't ask me why,
but time has passed us by,
some one else moved in from far away.

Mummy wishes that you can sing this song for me 'when you are tall'. Mummy Love You!

Music Time

We have observed that Eugene is interested in Music. He likes to listen to Music, he likes to sing and he likes to dance!

The keyboard is bought by sister in law. Eugene loves to play the keyboard!
Look at the video, he really got talent in music from the way he plays the keyboard. May be Eugene will became a musician!

GOOD - Giving the "Thumb Up"

We taught Eugene to show "Thumbs Up" gesture by a closed fist held with the thumb extended upward if the food we feed him is good.
However, Eugene is unable to show his thumb upward :o( If we ask him to show us GOOD. He will show up his "pointing finger" +.+....
Sometimes we like to ask Eugene to show us GOOD because the way he pronouns the word of GOOD and sametime showing up his pointing finger beside his face is really charming and cutie! He is making us laugh none stop.....

Day Trip to PENANG

POSTDATED13/12/09, SUNDAY

Kevin has scheduled to take his CFP exam in Penang this time. So we decided to follow him to go to Penang for a day trip.

We all woke up at around 7am in the morning. After washed and changed, we started our journey to Penang at 8am. The journey was a smooth one and Eugene was slept all the way to arrived Butterworth at 1035am. From Butterworth, we planned to take the ferry to Penang Island. The cost of taking ferries is RM7.95. But the waiting time may be longer than taking the bridge.

It was a nice experience and fun taking ferry.

Once you are in the ferries, you can step out from the car and enjoy the breeze.

The cool morning breeze gave us that soothing feeling that brought us to capture the scenic view with great pleasure.
The ferry ride took us about 15 mins to reach Penang Island. Upon arriving to Penang, we went to an old restaurant where just near the KOMTAR and we had Duck Egg Fried Keow Teow and Asam Laksa for lunch. After the lunch, Kevin dropped us off at Queensbay Mall since that his exam is at 2pm @ USM.
Whenever we go shopping, we would make it a point to stop by Toys R Us, because Eugene just loves it there! It’s like his second home! He would walk round and round the store, smiling and touching everything that catches his fancy. It’s really a good exercise work out for him as well as for me because I have to chase after him the whole day long.
And of course, after all that exercise, Eugene needs to charge back his energy and he was taking his noon nap in his stroller. When Eugene woke up, we brought him to Kids joyrides corner and it was hard work with Eugene insisting every ride but thankfully we managed!

Eugene was enjoying his every joyrides!

Kevin then back to Queensbay mall after his exam at 4pm. Everyone was hungry since our lunch was light as the duck egg fried keow teow served in small portion. We hung out and walked around, navigating the surrounding malls for food. Finally, we settled on Kenny Rogers' Roaster Restaurant.

Eugene was busy looking at the Kenny Rogers' Roaster Menu. Please give me a quarter chicken....

Our next destination is The Kek Lok Si Temple (Penang Hokkien for "Temple of Supreme Bliss";极乐寺). We drove all the way up to the Bronze Goddess of Mercy, Kuan Yin Statue.

Eugene is praying in front of an altar at the prayer hall.

They have the 12 animal zodiacs there as well! Eugene riding them one by one!

Walking in the Kek Lok Si's Garden.
Penang city view from Kek Lok Si Temple
The three-tiered roof pavilion standing at 20-storey high has finally complete after many years of hardship. The pavilion acts as a canopy to shelter the metal bronze Kuan Yin statue.
All in all , we had a lovely outing and spared not a second to make our trip to Penang more enjoying and meaningful.

OK OK & Yes Yes

Mummy says Eugene is a talkative boy. He can talk lots and repeat the same word for many many times - (long wind in Cantonese). He can recite some short words from our daily conversation

Situation 1:- While Eugene is holding an apple.
Mummy: Please give mummy your apple, OK?
Eugene: o.k, o.k! (Eugene passes his apple to me)

Situation 2:- While Eugene requesting us to bring him out and jalan jalan at the garden.
Mummy: Can you please get your shoe to mummy, OK?
Eugene: Okay, okay! (Eugene walks toward to get his shoe to me)

Situation 3:- While Eugene requesting us to switch on the TV.
Mummy: Please be seated and wait for Mummy to switch on your movie, OK?
Eugene: O.K, O.K (Eugene will sit on the sofa and wait for you)

Whenever mummy asking Eugene some questions with the ending word of OK. Eugene will answer you 'O.K' ;-)

Situation 4:- While we are in the living room.
Mummy: Who is Beh Eugene?
Eugene: Yesss....yesss...

Mummy: Is Eugene a boy?
Eugene: Yessss....

Mummy: Is Eugene a girl?
Eugene: gurl, gurl, gurl.... (Eugene defaults to say No No when he gets excited!)

Tea Break

Eugene's nanny is a meticulous person. She has set a constant daily routine and trained up Eugene became a discipline child. A daily tea break is part of his daily routine. The tea time is around 3-4pm. So I have bought a variety of choice of baby biscuit as shown below for my son.
Different brand of the baby biscuit for Eugene.
Eugene is enjoying his delicious biscuit.
Hehe....I'm having my tea break.
arrr....open my mouth widely to taste the yummy biscuit.

Peek-A-Poo Game

It is a happy time when Eugene played Peek-A-Poo game with grandma.

Game started...Mama hide underneath the sofa where it is out of Eugene's sight, and suddenly, pop up her head by calling ' Gene boy, jark....', Eugene laugh happily...then, mama hide behind the sofa again...Eugene was waiting and saying 'jark, jark....' when will Mama pop up her head again? And then, here goes mama's head and calling 'Gene Boy, jark...', Eugene was laughing happily, showing his 8 tiny teeth.
